Cleveland Technical Societies Council (CTSC)

Overview:

Cleveland Technical Societies Council (CTSC) is an excellent example of cooperation and development of capabilities across professional fields. Founded in 1941 with representation from 24 technical and professional societies, CTSC has persistently advanced education in Engineering and Science in addition to promoting an exchange of ideas across disciplines.

CTSC has seven monthly Board of Governors meetings between September and June and one annual meeting in each fiscal year, any of which members of participating societies are invited to attend. Participants come from 34 participating local societies and industry groups. Many of these have parallel technical groups and the ability to coordinate and cooperate to increase and disseminate the knowledge base - as well as nurture cooperative research and commercialization activities.
